Bluedrake42 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Been noticing a trend in DCS World AI At random points some of the AI aircraft (so far the A10 and F16) just ditch all their weapons and dive straight into the ground... its weird. It looks like they're trying to execute some kind of evasive maneuver but they must forget how close they are to the ground http://www.youtube.com/bluedrake42 Subscribe to me
thearies Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 i can confirm this, when airplanes are in evasive maneuver´s for e.g. by sam they sometimes crashed in the ground in my case an ai su-25tm did it three times...
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I would be very interested in tracks of this behaviour - as short as possible please. Could you give me an idea of what is engaging the Aircraft and their altitude at the time. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
kokoweems Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 This happens when the planes are engaged by SAMs from ships. They drop their loads, dive towards the sea at full burner and then crash. This happens even when I place the AI at 10,000 feet.
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Damn, I thought that was fixed - does anybody have quick mission I could replicate this in? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
thearies Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 hey nate, this should demonstrate the problem: http://www.file-upload.net/download-4572735/test1a.miz.html in my test´s the su-25tm always crash´s... greetings
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Thank you very much. I'll look into it. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Ok I see it in 1.2.0 but not in my tester version. I would like any other examples of this you may have. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
thearies Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 no sorry i just build this mission for your request... but when i found new strange behaviour i post you the mission file... really like the idea of dcs world ;)
zzzspace Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Ok I see it in 1.2.0 but not in my tester version. I would like any other examples of this you may have. Nate Nate, when a flight of two aircraft (perhaps more) takes-off, whilst illuminated by an enemy SAM radar (a hawk in this case), the second aircraft often goes into a steep dive, soon after reaching about 500 feet alt off the runway, and then will hit water or land -- not always hitting it, but often hitting it. I'll try to get you a track of this, and post it here ||| Romanes eunt domus ||| zzzspace V2.0 REAL SOUND for DCS World - and all Modules |||
Nate--IRL-- Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) What time in those tracks am I looking for? EDIT;- Nevermind they aren't that long. Nate Edited September 10, 2012 by Nate--IRL-- Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
