When programming client groups with delayed activation in the mission editor

the groups show up already in the beginning of the mission.

On second try you can spawn in the plane with the group deactivated.

 

Would be better to only show the activated groups available for spawning.

It is a known game engine limitation that prevents you from deactivating/activating multiplayer clients. However, at least in previous versions, you could limit people from joining a client slot by setting a start time later than mission start... then you couldn't join the client slot until that time had elapsed.

 

The "delayed activation" box is really only intended for AI units. What happens if you leave "delayed activation" unchecked, but just set a start time later than mission start for the client slot? Last I checked, the game respected the start time limitation, even on clients, but "last I checked" means 1.1.1.1.

 

Also, I need to confirm: this is multiplayer, right?

This is multiplayer, dcs world v1.2.

Just tried the delayed start time but it has the same problem as the activation. When you try to join the group the first time you will not get into a plane and just go to spectator view.

But if you then click briefing and fly again your will spawn in the plane anyway.

Ok, thanks for the help. The issue exists just as you describe it in current version 1.2.0, but I cannot replicate it in internal versions. Hopefully, that means it will be fixed next patch.
