phoenixegmh Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Just a quick one noticed whilst playing in an MP environment. 1 x REDFOR Sfc Cdr & 1 x BLUFOR A-10C REDFOR has 3 x Tunguska and operates all 3 in "Red" mode which, according to the Manual and the Fog of War representation, means the radars are off and not transmitting. Only problem is, the A-10 is still able to detect the vehicles via it's RWR...
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 From the manual RED – group is combat ready and actively searching for targets. Depending on the unit, it may or may not be able to move while in combat ready state. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
phoenixegmh Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Nate, Apologies wrote the state from memory. I meant state Green. Did try all three states, but still always detected by the A-10 on RWR.
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Client or server in the A-10? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Oh and who is setting the state to green? Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Good stuff thanks. Will check it out. EDIT:- was there a threat to the SAM nearby. They won't go green if a potential enemy has been already been detected. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
phoenixegmh Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 Nate, Apologies, only just seen your edit! No, I set all Radars to radar silent at start of mission, when opposing AC was on the ground a few tens of NM away!
