169th_Maverick Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I just bought a copy of DCS A10 on steam, and I don't see where it shows what version it is. I tried downloading the 1.1.0.6 patch because that was the earliest one up on the DCS website, but when I try to install, it says I need version 1.1.0.5. Is there a link to a cumulative patch that will be one download to bring me up to date, or does steam do it automatically.
pacotito Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Steam does it automatically I'm not sure what version they are at but steam is always behind since they do their own testing. you can get your serial number from steam and use that with the dcs website download. the best bet is to download t the full game and avoid patching. With the newest version you would also need to download dcs: world since the aircraft are now just modules. Pacotito I7-5820k@4.5 Z99 extreme4 16gb ddr4 520gb ssd. Gigabyte ssc GTX960 SSC 4gb
EtherealN Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Steam version is 1.1.1.1. This is an outdated version. To get the latest version, follow these steps: 1) Activate your current steam copy. 2) OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED: Uninstall it. 3) Download DCS World from digitalcombatsimulator.com, install it. 4) Download the DCS A-10C Module version 1.2 from digitalcombatsimulator, install it. 5) Your existing activation should be detected and you're set. Note that at all times you will be able to find your serial number through the Steam games library - right-click the entry.
