Question for KA-50 cockpit builders

Probably only a few people in the world that can answer these questions :)

 

I've started using LEDs with my Phidgets 1031 LED controller and have it working fine with Helios. As we know Helios is not 100% finished, with some features not working correctly (this is not about that).

 

If you have happened to come across any of these export items not working, it would be helpful to know in advance and possible save work wiring up something that will not work at this point in time.

 

I am interested only in Blackshark 2/DCS World/Helios input/outputs for the Phidgets controller (but will add siwtch bindings in the future). I will start my list of items I find and update this post.

1. "R-828 Test LED" binding does not work in DCS World, but works in Helios.

 

 

Switch Bindings:

 

1. "Signal Flare Power switch" bindings do not work correctly in DCS World.

2. "K-041 Power Switch" bindings do not work correctly in DCS World.

3. AP Panel, DT/DH Helios switch bindings do not work.

4. No bindings for input to the mechanical clock functions, only outputs from clock work in Helios.

5. G-meter reset button 'push' and 'release' bindings operate the windshield wiper.

 

 

Lists are WIP and will be updated as I go.

Does anyone have an analog axis controlling a dimmer (ie - HMS brightness) in Helios? I seem to remember it working in the past, but I have had no luck. I think I may need to add a line possibly?

 

I have my encoders working well with Helios and I just may rewire more of those in instead of the analogs. I just thought I would ask first to save the trouble.

Does anyone have any printable graphics like labels and unused gauges for the Blackshark cockpit to share? This would be a great help.

 

Cockpit has made huge strides lately. It is very exciting to see things come to life after so much planning and work. New thread about the build will come pretty soon. There are some rotten pics around of it too.
