Koala63 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Lovin this sim big time! Thanks DCS. I've been a bit disconcerted however, by the way my plane is self destructing at the end of flights when I use the rW-End "cheat" to shut down. After battling to get my DCS P51 into the air and down onto the ground in one piece in a half-way respectable fashion, I can imagine more satisfying ways of completing my flight that being vapourised in an exploding fire-ball. Any thoughts on this is happening to me? BTW - I've only experienced this in offline instant action - Cold Start Varinazi and Take-off Batumi, which is really all I've flown since getting this great beginning of a prop sim.
WildBillKelsoe Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 you will like this: AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Koala63 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) Hi WBK. I recognise that explosion alright. But your post doesn't shine any light on why this is happening during the auto shut down sequence. Yeah, I had seen that some people were experiencing this problem with the start up prior to the last patch, but I am kind.of hoping for some advice about this self destruct business at engine shutdown after the last patch. Cheers anyhow. Edited July 29, 2012 by Koala63
