Mission Editor Freezes

Hi everybody.

 

I seem to have some sort of issue with the mission editor.

 

If i try to edit an airplane and enter the payload page, after a short while the music in the game starts to scratch and after a few seconds the computer freezes.

 

The freeze is total, there is no way to exit to windows, i have to use the reset button and start the computer up again.

 

The problem does not happen every time i use the mission editor only sometimes. There is no problem in simulator.

 

Computer spec:

Windows 7 64bit

Cpu: Intel Core i7 960 3.20GHz

RAM: 12 GB

Grapichs: AMD Raedon HD 6900 Series with AMD Catalyst 12.6 latest driver.

Difficult problem you have here and since I have never experienced this in all the years I have of Misssion Editor use I am inclined to think its a PC issue rather than a software issue.

 

The only things I can think of is to Try turning off the sound in the options menu, make sure you have the latest sound card drivers. make sure there is no conflict between motherboard on-board sound and pc sound card if that's your pc config.

 

Other than that all I can suggest is to try a re-install. Sorry if that doesn't help, pc issues are a pain and in my experience so many things can cause problems , such is the case of pc architecture!

Next time, after it happens, please upload C:\Users\<Your Account Name>\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\me.log to this topic, here in the forums. That is the most likely method of determining what your problem is (but certainly, no guarantee of figuring out the issue). I also have never ever heard of anything like this.
