Lua edit to change a command value

Hello to all,

 

I have been working on getting some dimmers working with analog pots by sending analog button pulses. This works well, but in some situations, the brightness/dimmer steps are too far apart, making the commands too coarse for use. (ie- I get about two or three commands and HUD is then on or off)

 

Can I edit the value of a mapped command (be it keypress or button pulse) so I get more steps in between full on and full off?
