I was running a process monitor on DCS.exe the other day trying to work out if I could see where it was crashing when logging into the Master Server.

On doing so I noticed it was writing a huge amount of .tr files as well as large .trk (track files during the game) into %temp%\dcs

I know that all application write temporary files away, but could DCS tidy up after itself? There was approximately 300mb of files just sat there doing nothing. The amount of file writes in general during the game is pretty huge, which begs the question how much of a performance hit does this have on the game itself.

It might be good to have an option to record tracks by pressing a key combination rather than just recording them by default.

Just an observation.
