marcelbrabson Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I have a Thrustmaster Cougar that works fine with all my other flight sims, but not with P-51. I have no control whatsoever. The aircraft just starts to flip and flop all over the place. Is the a Cougar profile for the P-51 or can anyone tell me what I can do to rectify this problem. Thanks. To differenciate where the problem is and what to really fix, you can try all of the following methods; Rename or Remove the DCS CONFIG Input files (and keep them for later if they aren't broken). Remember to check the basics; Control Panel / Devices and Printers / Calibration. Unplug everything but your keyboard & mouse. Do not use special controller-software; Unload it. If you have a very special mouse or keyboard, perhaps you could borrow another device and try again. At any stage where you change the devices during troubleshoot; Rename the \Config\Input folder - this will reset inputs to DCS-defaults. Now there's a good chance you may see a difference - and you may be able to nail the cause. Controller Issues PeterP has an excellent Guide to tune your DirectX calibration settings. Another thing is when I try to end the mission and go to the main menu the Quit option or for that matter any of the options don't work. I have to use the task manager in windows to stop the sim. Very unhappy with this. Can you help? PeterP Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 So none of the troubleshooting advises helped !?... un-check "Disable Aero Interface" in the GUI < this will cure your menu issue. Please attach a track - your problem sounds strange and I want to have a look at it - Please also make a screen-shoot of your P-51D control-axis page. I want to have a look if you made a double-assignment.
