Hi, I look in the forum and try searching but came up empty..

I just noticed something when doing a night mission, that with or without NVG, the civilian road traffic don't have any headlights. I'm talking completely black. No big deal, just something I discovered by chance . It don't ruin my playtime or anything.

I would think that even in war areas, the civilians have to see where they go. My guess is that it's not very common for a bus-driver to wear NVG at night. Or i missed something. Maybe I'm not "enlightened".

Thanks. :)

Yeah, it is. While playing on multiplayer it seems that everybody gets his own traffic.

So if you see a bus driving over a bridge, another one may don't see any vehicle on that bridge.

In many war situations, civilians would be forced to either not use headlights or to limit their effectiveness. For example, during WW2.

Obviously, it is simply that headlights haven't been implemented but it is less unrealistic than you may think.

I would be nice to have them and to have a mission option for blackout. The same with houses in fact.

Now that I think about it, the cities in DCS are lit up light christmas trees - except for the car headlights so obviously no blackout going on there!

That was my thought too. Headlights, reduced or not reduced, in pitch blackness must be there. They have to see the road and at the same time, as you pointed out, the cities are well lit up. I would think it would be most common to stay home at night, but also for the civilians out driving it would be most common to have some kind of lights.

Thanks for all reply guys :)
