wolle Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 When I accidentally delete a unit from a mission, and exit the mission editor without saving the unwanted changes, the mission editor still saves it, and when I open the mission the next time it includes the unwanted changes that I didn't want to save. In other words, when I exit the mission editor it always saves the most recent changes, no matter what option (save or not) I click on in the dialog box that asks if I want to save the latest changes. This is not an issue with a particular mission, but happens always. Anybody else have this issue, or is it only my install? B.t.w. I have always had this issue, from the Warthog stand alone version to the most recent DCS world. It is rather annoying, since there is no way to undo an unwanted action... Help! Grimes Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Did you just exit back to the main menu or did you exit the sim entirely? If you went back to the main menu, the mission editor is still "active" and will be on whichever mission was last loaded. You have to exit the sim entirely to "clear" the mission editor or load some other mission. I agree undo is a much needed feature and I think it is on a wishlist somewhere, buts its best to just save a new version of the file as often as possible. If its a group or something similar that you deleted, you can always load an older version, Ctrl-C, load the latest version, Ctrl-V to Copy and paste the group. wolle Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Hi Grimes, Thanks for your reply. I only exited to the main menu. I'll try exiting the sim altogether the next time I encounter this situation... SmokeyTheLung Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Could have sworn you could revert if you just load the mission again (via the load option in the editor) System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Grimes Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Like I said, either loading a mission or exiting the sim will work. Obviously loading a different mission or re-loading the same mission will be quite a bit quicker. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
