EventHorizon Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Sometimes when I contact JTAC they give me grids to a target that is as much as 400 miles away... I realize that this is because some of the grids on the map are overlaping or whatever... but I do not know how to correct this. I am really having an issue with a CAS mission in campaign mode which takes place at night time because of this. Anyone know how to correct this ? Why hasnt a patch been issued for this ?

I have had this happen to me when using some of the older missions from previous versions. Have you tried a new test mission using Mission Editor the latest World install?
Speed Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1526738&postcount=17 If the grid is 400 nm away, just enter the other UTM zone (it will either be 37T or 38T on Caucasus map). Unfortunately, the mod is a little delayed, but I'll probably get around to it soon. Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility. Weta43 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 400 miles is too far for it to be map/me misalignment. I'd say you're entering data for the wrong grid zone designator for the mgrs (or at least not inputting the samet grid zone designator the JTAC is using) (Edit too slow - eating lunch - as above :-) Cheers.
