Echo38 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I don't have this problem with the A-10C, but when flying the P-51D, I get visual "tearing" effects (as if V-sync were off), even though V-sync is on in my options. I searched this forum for "tearing" and "v-sync" and got zero results. So is this a known issue? If not, I can record a short video and upload it to Youtube.
Kuky Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Make sure V-sync is OFF in video card driver and it's ON in game settings only If you run Full Screen, this is enough to get V-sync working, but if you run game in windowed mode, make sure you are running Windows Aero theme and in game settings untick Disable Aero Interface PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Echo38 Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Switching to full screen mode fixed it. Odd that it won't use V-sync if Windows isn't running an Aero theme, though.
Kuky Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 V-sync will work in windowed mode only if you run Aero theme.
