WildBillKelsoe Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I set a new aircraft/ task Refuelling. I set Perform action -> Activate TACAN channel 40X I set frequency to 150 AM I fly, contact tanker OK. now look to TACAN, set 40X, change to every other mode from off TR/ATR/BRRRR... etc, and the HSI rotates like crazy, and red flags on the distance. I can't locate him if I can't turn on TACAN. Treat me like a complete newbie.. Please help me. A step by step on how to add the tanker properly to the mission is appreciated. Custer Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) This video may help, when you find the tanker :) If you use TACAN you need to se the dial to A-A, in the pictures below that will show how to setup tanker in mission editor with Race-Track WP. 1. First place the tanker in the air or airfield. 2. Then edit the tanker if you need to change the TACAN for tanker. 3. Now add two waypoints for the tanker, this will allow the tanker to go Race-Track from WP1-2 and 2-1. 4. Now select WP1 for the tanker and go to ADVANCED (WAYPOINT ACTIONS), there we select ADD and then Perform Task -> Orbit -> Race-Track and we also need to set stop condition. The Stop condition will tell the tanker when to end his mission of being a tanker in Race-Track mode, select the checkbox in front of time and add couple of hours to the time. Hope this guide helps you to add a tanker and test out the refuel. Edited September 19, 2012 by Custer
