selecting video card

Hi guys! :)

 

I just bought a new computer, a Asus N56VM, which has two graphic cards, an intel and Nvidia Geforce GT 630M 2GB.

It seems that my Flaming Cliffs 1.12b chooses the intel video card, which is not so good as the Nvidia one. So, anyone knows how to select the video card in FC 1.12b?

hm... this a laptop or desktop PC? Surely that Intel graphics is not full on video card so either you should have some setting to chose what graphics chip to use for 2D and 3D or you could just disable the Intel graphics and nVidia one will be running by default.

The computer is a laptop. I was having this problem while installing Falcon BMS4.32, but I changed some 3D settings on Nvidia control panel and that simulator identified the Nvidia graphic card.

Also, I'm having the same problem of finding Nvidia card with other simulator.

Maybe there is a way of changing some file in Flaming Cliffs that would make the sim "see" the other graphic card...

hm... I don't think there is, I know in Falcon/BMS there is such option in sim but there isn't in FC so you'll have to somehow do it in your laptop settings... I think maybe its somewhere in power settings... where you select display brightness etc depending on you have laptop pluggen into power socket or running off batery... there should be some settings what display you want to work when running 2D/3D software. That's about as much I can help as I don't use laptops.
