seikdel Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 After the latest update, DCS World just won't boot. I double-click my desktop icon, it opens and then closes without ever displaying anything. I run DCS.exe in the bin directory and it shows the splash screen then quits.
cvscorpc Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) I set all of my DCS/UBI games to run "Windows XP SP3" in the Compatibity Settings under properties for each executable. You should also try setting "Run as Administrator" for DCS/UBI products. After I set all of my DCS executables to run as "Windows XP SP3", all will at least launch now, until you hit another unknown bug which will CTD the game. I think DCS World is still a Beta, and is buggy as hell. Most of the other DCS games, FC/FC2 and BS/BS2 are not quite so buggy, but still have problems under certian OS's, to be further complicated by new release of Windows 8. Hope this helps :) Edited October 12, 2012 by cvscorpc
