Game Avionics Mode

I have a couple of friends that would like to join me in online flying, but they are not as 'Hard Core' as I am.

 

I want to set up a mission so they can fly with Game Avionics mode on, But I can fly without it.

 

Setting 'Game Avionics Mode' in the gameplay settings is ignored in multiplayer missions unless you enforce the option in the mission file, and then everyone has it!

 

Now this would not be too much of a problem except in Game Avionics mode, my 'Target Lock' button becomes the 'Lock Next Target'. Kind of ruins the emersion for me.

 

So two Issues...

 

1. Game Avionics Mode setting (main game settings) Ignored in multiplayer.

2. My Lock target button becomes lock next target in Game Avionics Mode.

Hmm, not one reply.

 

This is getting a problem now, as I cannot lock anything that is not an object... ie bridges, buildings etc.

 

Anyone at all had this problem? I am sure it is a bug.

Given that not many use game mode (me included) I don't think a lot of regular members would be able to help. If you think it's a bug, post in the bug section and maybe PM one of the ED testers.

No worries mate. Will contact a tester as if have also created a trouble ticket and no respone for a week. (Yeah I know, they are busy doing stuff with FC3, and that IS important!)

Get new friends! :( Or spend one day explaining it for them.. and send them your joystick files, telling them what exactly every button do (if you have same sticks) And when they know that, they would know what to change if they don't like it!

 

I have a mate that I tried to get into Rise of flight.. after a few hours he stopped spinning to his doom, without me hardly having the time hitting him, since he refused to fly anything but the 'very temperamental' Camel.. only to tell me it was a shit game, and uninstalling it.. and we both had the same equipment! .. alas he lacked patience, or curiosity (or to big Ego) to try other planes!

Have you tried using your A-10C Sim control settings for game?

 

Saved games folder:

Config\Input

Backup A-10C_easy

Copy A-10C

Paste A-10C

Rename A-10C - Copy to A-10C_easy

 

I haven't tried this, but in theory it would take away any simplified controls from game avionics mode. You'd just play like usual I would assume, let me know if it works.

I have had a reply from my Trouble Ticket about this. Here is the reply I got...

 

It is part of the anti-cheating system.

 

So there you have it. :doh:

 

As I side note, I did get my friend to turn off game mode and try the Shkval for real. He is starting to get two, even three kills in a pass with a Vikhr, and also nail the ladings at Katasi and be able to use the first taxiway off the runway!

Nice! Your friend is better then my friend :( .. and me, as I sneak around tossing Vikhr's, and get stressed out when you have to release them in the fly.. (in BS2 that is)
