Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Just as I suspected, re-install of Lockon1.1 isn't that simple... I ran the LockOn_Save_registry.exe application and obtained the corresponding reg files. As a matter of fact I ran it twice, first when I fresh-installed Lockon v1.1 and after applying the 1.11 patch, so I have both keys. After a complete PC reinstall with WindosXP I installed Lockon, then without running it I directly proceeded to the v1.1 install and afterwards I executed the saved key. The registry update was acknowledged and I rushed running the application. Whenever I try to start LockOn I get that "StartForce Copy Protection System" screen with "Error" in yellow on it and the options to retry, information or exit. What did I do wrong? What should I try next? Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
Yellonet Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Eh... you mean you had to enter a new key when you installed the 1.11 patch? And maybe you should have tried to run the game before you updated the registry with your saved key. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Nope, I never had to re-activate LockOn after the initial (v1.1) install. When I applied the v1.11 patch I noticed that after running it for the first time I got a very fast Starforce screen, but it vanished and there were no additional problems. My only problems are now that I am reinstalling the sim from scratch on my new puter... Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
HellMutt Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Your Starforce activation is only valid for the same computer. If you install on a new computer, you'll need to re-activate. i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, Radeon RX 6800, HP Reverb, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind pedals, Thrustmaster MFD's
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 Thx for the info. It is indeed the same PC, or not exactly since I have changed some of the hardware in between, so, I believe I'll have to re-activate.... Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
