Old Dude Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Is response time or refresh rate an issue in dcs or is picture quality king ?
Postal2 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 ips = more détails and best pictures! , but less fps than 1080 120hz ^^ . [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] == http://www.3rd-wing.net == Extremmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kuky Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Monitor has nothing to do with your FPS. IPS panels have better image quality and view angles (which is a plus) but bit worse refresh times (hence more image ghosting with fast paced games with lot of looking aroud and view movement sideways) than TN panels. For gaming TN panels are really good enough, I would know, I have them both and to ne honest IPS panels for DCS are not really worth (unless you don't care about their higher cost) The only thing you want in monitor is as low refresh rate, no backlight bleed and size that suits you. Viewing angles and power usage are my second important thing (when you use more than 1 monitor and they are on long time daily, power usage matters to me as well) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
