Heggis Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 This was tested by my friend also so is there something we did wrong or is it a bug. You start with a clean map. When you put a group (lets say 5) of smerches or kub launchers and set a waypoint for them (onroad or offroad doesn't matter). Only 1 will move, the rest just inch a bit and stop. The single unit continues though. If I use trucks in the convoy, trucks will move but smerches stay put. There might be other units that are affected too, just haven't tested them. Anyone else get this is or is it something else...
Grimes Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Strange. They don't move in 1.2.1 for me either. However I tried it in the tester build and both groups moved just fine. So hopefully it should be fixed in the next patch. If you find any other groups with similar behavior let me know so I can double check. Seems to be most artillery and Multi Rocket classes that will not follow waypoints.:censored::censored::censored: ie USA: Palladin RUS: Smerch Govzdika Msta Akatsia Grad Ones that do work are::thumbup: USA: m270 RUS: nona Attached is a mission file with said classes in it that show the problem, convoys will move out, but leave the problem types behind. Test Artillary move.miz Also noticed on opening the .miz file with a zip viewer, that there are heaps of directories and Files of 0 length. (This mission was created by selecting NEW MIssion in the ME). The directories are obviously defaults, but the wav and jpg file names seem to be from another mission as none were included in this mission itself. I have never seen it do this before ?????? Hope that helps. I've seen this happen, I'm not entirely sure what causes it, but I think it has to do with how the mission editor saves previous data for use later. Generally the files always have the name of most recent file by type used. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Heggis Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 Atleast with the few units I tried, waypoints seems to be working correctly in the latest version (1.2.2).
