Megagoth1702 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Hey guys, it seems that as long as the command unit is alive the BUK-11 site can shoot missiles at targets even if the big search radar is down. Is that how it works in real life? I thought the tracking radars on the launchers needed some "rough" info on the target before they could engage and keep tracking the target. Is that how it works in real life? :-/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System specs:2500k @ 4.6 GHz 8GB RAM HD7950 OC'd Win7 x64 Posting tracks to make your DCS better - attention bump incoming!
msalama Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Is that how it works in real life? :-/ As long as the TR is alive they can still launch is what I've heard. Their effective range, however, is greatly reduced if the SR is killed. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
