What happens when you give an AI flight conflicting waypoint actions?

For example I have an AI flight that I want to CAP between 2 waypoints (lets say waypoint 1 and 2)

so at waypoint 2 I set two actions:

"Switch waypoint -1"

"Switch waypoint -3 on condition that Time is 12:30

idea being that after doing CAP between 1 and 2 for a set amount of time they continue on to 3 and return to base, but how can I know which action will have highest priority once time reaches 12:30 ?

will they keep looping between the 2 waypoints till they run out of fuel or will they actually move on to waypoint 3 once time is 12:30 ??

what I can gather from the GUI Manual is that switch waypoint is a command and as such they're instantaneously executed in sequence so that the latest command which has conditions met will be the one executed in effect (in case of conflicting commands)

Is this correctly understood?

Well, orbit allows you to set a duration. I think it would be better to just set the 1-2 orbit for 30 minutes, or whatever you need. After the duration is up, they will fly to WP3.

There's no option to set them to orbit around 2 different stearpoints, I assume it's gonna make them fly around the waypoint on which you set the command, so basically you have no control over the direction of their racetrack direction (circle is dumb for CAP)

also don't see any option to set duration

Duration is accessed by pressing the Stop conditions button. A menu comes up and you select the stop condition.

Regarding your question, I'm a bit confused now. When I read your first post, I thought that what you wanted was to make the CAP flight fly between WP 1 and WP 2 for x minutes. Then after x minutes, they would fly to WP 3 and then land.

Did you instead want them to orbit between 1 and 2, then orbit between 2 and 3 or 1 and 3? If so, I'm not sure how you would do that as I've never tried. I have also not gotten around to experimenting with switch waypoint.

As far as priority goes, I'm pretty sure you can set that within the advanced options. Again sadly, this isn't something I've messed with yet, no as much time to make missions any more, but it might be in the manual. If I remember correctly, priority is either set by the order of the commands (closer to the top of the list = higher priority) or you enter a number somewhere.

Race-track automatically orbits between the WP where the action was given and the next WP.

Once the orbit actions is started it will ignore all tasks at WP 2 and 3 until the aircraft reaches those WP on a normal route (non orbit).

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

no just between 1 and 2, but say you set the action on stearpoint 2, there is no way to set them to orbit back around stearpoint 1. The only parameters available for Orbit is pattern, speed and altitude. Is it implicit that it orbits the stearpoint you set the command at, and the previous stearpoint or something?

Now I understand, it's as Grimes said:

Race track implicitly defines a path with two WP's.

So you would want to set a Race-track orbit at WP 1 for the set duration.
