Sevens Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Hey guys, I just built my new computer and set all of my monitors up. I have 3 24 inch monitors and 2 8in Lilliput USB monitors. I am trying to decide if I should setup NVIDIA Surround or work with softth. I have a single GeForce GTX680 4gb 32gb RAM and a 6 core processor. ASRock x79 Extreme 6, Intel i7-3930K 3.2GHZ, 32GB DDR3 2400, Intel 120GB SSD, EVGA GeForce GTX 680 4gb, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Rudder, 3 x 24inch Samsung Monitors, 2 x 8inch Lilliput Monitors.
JG14_Smil Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 There is no reason in the world not to try both. It is pretty simple. I'll never run DCS without SoftTH until I can no longer do so.
Sevens Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 I am trying to figure it out....NVidia Surround wants me to disable the USB monitors. When I go into DCS and put the settings on (3) monitor it crashes. /Steve ASRock x79 Extreme 6, Intel i7-3930K 3.2GHZ, 32GB DDR3 2400, Intel 120GB SSD, EVGA GeForce GTX 680 4gb, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Rudder, 3 x 24inch Samsung Monitors, 2 x 8inch Lilliput Monitors.
JG14_Smil Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) oh, I see. If you are using USB monitors you want to try SoftTH. You just unzip it into the bin folder, it will create the proper file. If DCS hangs, try closing and another restart, it usually works fine after that for me. SoftTH is quite easy to use. Start reading PeterP's posts about getting the most out of it (but try it first). You can try setting up the Surround without the USB's, then adding them later. Edited November 19, 2012 by JG14_Smil
