theghost Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 When I call to the refueling tanker ,in My first calling he Lowers the boom BUG The 147 Squadron commander "The Goring Ram"
Megagoth1702 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 lol. Nope. It has been changed last patch. And I like it that way. Check this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdlBkJwJC9s A-10 comes in, boom is already down. All lights are on when you come close to the tanker, which is awesome and makes them easier to find at night, makes sense to me. It's all cool. :) I mean you still gotta do "ready precontact." That is the only thing that is annoying me but simply because I have not adjusted to it yet. theghost Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 If you say so :) I hope this is not a problem. The 147 Squadron commander "The Goring Ram"
PFunk1606688187 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 What I find unnerving though is how the moment you complete refueling if the tanker is in a circular orbit he immediately breaks off at 45 degrees or something and returns to his sharper orbit since now when you slide up behind him initially he flattens his bank angle somewhat to give you an easier time of refueling. This probably poses problems for groups needing to refuel. Basically this latest patch has made racetrack orbits the only feasible way to refuel groups of people (not to mention making the tanker behavior very good at taking you out of the sense of realism). I actually don't know if he doesn't veer off when there are other aircraft there waiting as well who haven't asked for rejoin, but I suspect that won't matter either since if I cancel the rejoin he veers off anyway even if I'm still there. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
