John-John Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) hi, first of all, please excuse me if i do not post in the right category, i'm new in this forum :) then, please excuse my english, i'm french, but i want my question to be seen and understood by the most people :) Here's my problem Having used a lot Lock On and FC1 for several years, I have not been flying for a long time now. But as we all know, we can never really stop ^^ after a few years I have plugged my X52 again and reinstalled lock on. I had bought FC2 before I stopped, so I installed it back too. I configured the whole controls stuff in the options of FC2 to match perfectly my X52 profile. I've been able to make everything work except one thing : the base/distance axis ... I've been trying this on all the axis of my X52 but getting no response ... Am I setting the right axis for the right action ? (see the attached 2 jpg) And if not, which axis or input should I edit to have control on the setting I have highlighted in red on the second screenshot ? Thanks a lot :) Edited November 20, 2012 by John-John problem solved :)
Kuky Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 That would be "Radar Horizontal" axis, it doesn't make sense but that's what it right now, the Base/Distance now works as radar range increase/decrease 1 Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi MB | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC AIO 360 | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD x2 | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | HOTAS Cougar+MFG Crosswind ... and waiting on Pimax Crystal Super VR headset & DCS MiG-29A release
John-John Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 hello and thanks for your answer :) the radar horizontal axis is not the axis allowing you to scan on the right and the left of you aircraft ? if this is the case i've already set this on other inputs of my X52. what I want to do is incresing or decreasing the range of my radar to sort my targets if e.g I have two incoming waves, to only see the closest one
Kuky Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 As I said, this is how it works in DCS right now so just try it. You can clew radar left/right by key command only, not an axis. Also Radar Horizontal assignment to an axis was removed back in FC1/FC2, and the way it is right now it's probably bugged, or ED decided to "reuse" existing axis that didn't work and set it for range instead and didn't rename it. John-John Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 strange :) anyway, you were totally right, it's now working, thank you very much ! should I add a [RESOLVED] tag to my initial message title ?

Yep we oldies know. This bad axis naming exist for many versions... what a mess. should I add a [RESOLVED] tag to my initial message title ? On this forum no one cares or tracks bugs/problems in such way [solved/unsolved]. It is still good habit and maybe other users and moderators will follow you. But maybe I did not try to set my axis / inputs as deep as I am doing now. Anyway, I add the [sOLVED] tag, it may help other people in the same case :) Thank you again for the fast and clear answer :)
