Veckio Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Hello everyone! I just discovered this game via Origin's black friday sale and my oh my, I am impressed with how in-depth it is. I come from the old age of flight simulators, back when windows 98 was the new thing. I quickly discovered the more easy to play Novalogic flight sim games shortly after. However, I could not resist getting back into it. Now I have a few issues though. I went out and bought the logitech extreme 3d pro joystick for bf3 last year. In that game My jet doesnt slowly lean to a side or pitch up at all times. However, in this game I seem to always be leaning to a side or going up. Flying in a straight line is quite the effort. In videos I watch on youtube they do not seem to behaving this issue. Is there a calibration issue? Is there a knob in the cockpit that I need to hit. Any help for this greenhorn will be appreciated:) as I really, really want to learn this game:pilotfly:
JujuMan Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 You need to 'Trim' the aircraft. This is a constant process. The joys of flight. Map your POV hat to the trim commands, it will be easier. _________________________________________
Veckio Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Ah. Ok. I will have to give this a shot! I've noticed that the su-35 that is included with the a-10 game does not seem to have quite as large of an issue with that.
Veckio Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Alrighty I did the mapping of the trim to the POV hot, and I must say that worked quite nicely. It allowed me to enjoy the finer points of flying steady. Ty for that tip! I do not stall out just trying to do a barrel roll now.
