Tournament Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Hi guys I would like to ask you a question. Because when I align the track, the needle inside the HSI does not align perfectly? I am posting a picture. Thank you! [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic65966_6.gif[/sIGPIC]
Phobon Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 (edited) The HSI rotation only aligns to the heading you have entered manually (100 in your case). But runway 10 does NOT mean it has an exact heading of 100. There is a pdf with all the airfield infos including exact heading for the runways somewhere in the DCS folder. (EDIT: under \Doc\Charts\) The only ILS info you get in the HSI is the line inside (don't know what it is actually called) which shows the ILS course deviation. That is perfectly aligned in your picture. Edited November 24, 2012 by Phobon 1

Supersheep Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 You can set the mentioned heading by turning the knob on the lower right of the HSI; it's called the Course Set Knob. The DCS Flight Manual has a labelled image of it on page 114 (arrow No. 11 in that image). Edit: Gaah, I spend more than 11 min looking that up? Too slow I'd say. You surely can get caught in the manual... Super- The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
