Texture filtering phenomena (with basic vs. advanced haze)

When I switch graphics settings to use ADVANCED HAZE there seems to be completely diffrent way all the textures are filtered. It actually looks like LockOn is asking video driver to use anisotropic filtering.

This can be easily spoted on the runway.

Turn on BASIC HAZE, create an empty mission with just your plane starting from the runway and notice how the runway texture is washed out.

Now quit the mission, switch to ADVANCED HAZE, go in to mission and notice that the runway texture is rendered very sharp till the very end.

My question to devs is, when you switch to ADVANCED HAZE it also means lockon turns on anisotropic filtering if so then which one?

Have anyone noticed this before?

What do you mean by "texture quality"?

I don't set anything. Everything is defaul - app preference. That's why I ask if ADV HAZE also forces Anis. Filtering

There is a such option on the ATI Catalyst. "texture preference":high quality

Then I set Aniso to aplication preference, oh and forgot... mipmap: max as well

1 of these has trigered the crisp textures at far, not sure wich. I dont seem to have much of a perfomance hit with these...so I let all 3 at max.
