I have recently upgraded my original Beta pre-release version of DCS World and the P-51D Mustang, which I had gotten to work fine after some tweaking, to the newest one, 1.2.2.7286_39 which is not working so well. Mostly this relates to sticking keys, namely the ESC key which will not let me exit the mission, and the F1 and F2 keys which stop toggeling between the internal cockpit and external views. Also after landing the HOTAS switch on my stick will no longer pan around the screen, and tapping the W key for the brakes will slow the airplane but not bring it to a complete stop. I had some initial problems with the install, but after deleting the files and folders from the original version I had success. In fact the new program ran fine for the first day. It wasn't until the next day that the problems occurred. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the new version at least three times but the problems persist. I am at my wits end trying to figure this out. I could sure use some moderator help here. There is some other data that might be relevant but it would take too long to explain and this message is long enough as it is. If anybody could help I would be much appreciative. If email correspondence is easier we could do that if you wish to trade email addresses.

By the way, does anyone know if 159thViper is still around? We traded email addresses a while back while he was helping me with another problem and we had continued to send messages back and forth there and PMs on the forum, but I have not heard from him in about a month. I hope all is well with him as he is a nice guy and helped me a lot.

Viper is still around here somewhere, yeah. :)

When you say you deleted files and folders from the original version, do you mean the SavedGames folder?

If not, try going to:

C:\Users\XXXXXX\Saved Games\

In there there should be a folder named "DCS". Ensure the simulator is not running.

Rename this folder to something else, like "DCS_backup" or whatever.

Now start the simulator again. It should notice that there is no such folder and create a new one. Hopefully this should fix your controller issues.
