santiagojamesaea Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I downloaded DCS world about three days ago affter having been away from ED products for quite some time and have been stunned at how far the sim has come since LOMAC(i did say that i've been away for some time!).So,the first thing i'd like to do is thank ED for the free download and the su25t.I can now land! I do though have some questions, some to do with the mission editor and some with the su25t. First of all when using the editor,to make take-off/landing scenarios how can i switch to satellite view,i can see how to do it when flying and using the f10 key but not when making a scenario. Secondly,my missiles are not coming off the rails..i can lock onto a target both in air to air mode(audio seeker) and ground mode, press fire..and nothing.I have tried both in "simulation" mode and "game/arcade"mode but with the same result.(curiously the internal cannon and rockets pods fire)I have seen the training videos and they mention nothing about a "master arm"switch.I have searched the Forum but seen nothing and have looked at every possible possible keyboard/joystick assignation,to no avail. Lastly is there a manual on the SU25T? i have not seen one in the download package, just the DCS user manual. Well thanks in advance! and thanks again to ED i'm having huge fun!
Jona33 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Welcome back 1:No sat view in editor any more. :( 2:Try holding down the pickle button. 3:Not a clue Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Dachs Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 There should be a manual in this folder DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Su-25T\Doc System: Asus z270 A Prime, Intel i7-7700K 4.8GHz, 32GB DDR4, RTX2080, Samsung 500GB 850 EVO SSD. Valve Index VR, TM Warthog Throttle & Grip, Virpil MongoosT-50CM2 base, TM TPDR Rudders. OS: Win10 Home
EtherealN Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Unfortunately, Satellite view is no longer possible. This is due to some fundamental changes in the backend (the menu system doesn't have the renderer in it). Regarding missiles; you may have to hold the release button for one second as targeting data etc is being transmitted to the missile. Also note that "Fire" and "Weapon Release" are different buttons. Su-25T manual should be linked in the Start Menu entries. Location of the file on your hard drive is .\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Su-25T\Doc\ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

santiagojamesaea Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Have just found the flight manual and am now going to try out the key suggestions!
santiagojamesaea Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Well..holding down the weapon release button for a few seconds in air to air mode helped a lot, actually it now works! So thanks for that.I have got the Kh25l (laser)to fire as well as i now turn on the laser and not just the TV.But the vikhr system escapes me i cannot get it to work,so,if anyone has any more suggestions..please!
santiagojamesaea Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Ok i have it seems got everything to work now, the problem was that my notes from the training videos were incomplete,i was not puttting the range display circle over the target mark with the vikhr's. A lesson learnt here for when i go to BS,take more time on the training videos. Thank you all.
