FOXFIRE TWOONE Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) {DCS World}\Bazar\Liveries\ka-50. That is where I have been putting them but they are not showing up in mission editor/paint scheme. Or, are none of the skins able too be used on the US side. FOXFIRE TWOONE Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 Did you put each skin set in its own folder? Yes :noexpression: Intel core I9 10900K 3.7 ghz Asrock Z490 Extreme4 G-SKill Ripjaws V 32GB Cooler Master 120m GTX 980 Superclocked Corsair AX850w psu Samsung 1 T M.2 2 X 850 ssd's Sony 48 in HD TV Trackir 5 Hotas Warthog F/A-18C Hornet Grip Logitech Pro Peddles Windows 10 64
ajax Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I don't know what else to try as that's the extent of my skinning knowledge (admittedly, not much at all). There are some real wizards around, maybe one of them will chime in.
speckfire Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Can you provide a screenshot of the directory of {DCS World}\Bazar\Liveries\ka-50.? Also choose a particular skin folder that you added, and give us a screenshots of its contents along with the contents of the description file. Lets start there for now. Speed is life !!!

Well I got the two in the ( red ) box to show up on the US side but some textures seem missing. speckfire Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Ok Mystery solved. You are using BS2 skins for DCSW. They are compatible however the author who made the skins is referring to in game skins that are part of BS2 and did not include them when he made the package as to save on the size of the download. He included the main camo skin and not the rest of the helicopter. The restof the skins were read directly from BS2 \bazar\world\texture\****.zip file as per the Description.lua file. In DCSW the naming convention of the skins changed, some stayed the same and some were called something else, hence your missing skins. If you want to fix this issue, you would need to go line by line in Description.lua file and find the corresponding missing texture file line and find the new name for it in the DCSW Speed is life !!!
