I have successfully copied FC2 basic install, then modded a copy of it for the Stallturn server and separately for the FC2 Extra Flyable Aircraft mod. I used this procedure listed here:

Is copying the DCS_World the same procedure?

I want a copy of the un-modded DCS_World installation as my back-up, and a separate modded copy for the 104th Phoenix.

Will the two separate copies co-exist?

Do I need to stash the 104th's copy in a separate directory?

Will they both update automatically?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I've never been faced to that problem, but I'll make an other install of DCS to test a plugin.

Will the two separate copy co-exist?

Yes. You just have to change the folder name at the installation to avoid deleting your current install.

Do I need to stash the 104th's copy in a separate directory?

Lead your install to the Eagles Dynamics and then create a folder called DCS_modded for example, beside your current DCS World install.

Will they both update automatically?

Yes cause you will have 2 folders in your start menu, on named DCS World and the other DCS_modded, so you will the auto update feature for each install, separately...

Hope this helps...
