ErichVon Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I have successfully copied FC2 basic install, then modded a copy of it for the Stallturn server and separately for the FC2 Extra Flyable Aircraft mod. I used this procedure listed here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95216 Is copying the DCS_World the same procedure? I want a copy of the un-modded DCS_World installation as my back-up, and a separate modded copy for the 104th Phoenix. Will the two separate copies co-exist? Do I need to stash the 104th's copy in a separate directory? Will they both update automatically? Thanks in advance.
Madone Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Hi, I've never been faced to that problem, but I'll make an other install of DCS to test a plugin. Will the two separate copy co-exist? Yes. You just have to change the folder name at the installation to avoid deleting your current install. Do I need to stash the 104th's copy in a separate directory? Lead your install to the Eagles Dynamics and then create a folder called DCS_modded for example, beside your current DCS World install. Will they both update automatically? Yes cause you will have 2 folders in your start menu, on named DCS World and the other DCS_modded, so you will the auto update feature for each install, separately... Hope this helps...
