  1. TBH I was also a bit disappointed by the sample quality but the video you posted is a clear improvement! I've been around M2000's on base and I conccur that I didn't recognize the characteristic high pitched whistling at the inlets. I'm impressed by the sound engine emulation and I'm sure some enhancements will make it sound accurate. The interior sound doesn't seem right but I disagree on the lack of engine feedback, the levels are IMO ok and when your hand is on the throttle you get a feel for it. Also, cockpits are mostly well insulated and sound propagation acts a bit against it so it's clearly not a prominent sound IMO. I take my experience riding in military helos to say that. Btw while idling in exterior view from the back, there's a bassy echo that I think shouldn't be there, it sounds almost like the engine echo you get inside the cockpit when you're cruising. Really looking toward the next update.
  2. The state of the M2000C is up there with ED's highest fidelity modules, RAZBAM really nailed it with the big 2021 updates. And it keeps on giving with new sounds now... Underrated module IMO
  3. Hi, There's a coding issue in the default.lua, the radar altimeter on/else off switch is assigned the cockpit_device_id 5 while it's supposed to be "38" so the 2 way switch doesn't work in game. Easy fix attached. Fly safe.
  4. Hi, It's a long time issue but I don't see it reported anywhere?? I wonder if it's related to the netcode as my point of view in SP or MP is always smooth. The pointer isn't refreshed properly so some gestures like "snake" cannot be done, I attached a video where we do a "Rope" which is laggy as hell.
  5. In the meantime I published the rest of the CAS Sequence and I just released my FACA brief which gives some tips and basics to be efficient! Hope you learn something!
Fly safe!
  7. Hey everybody, I just started a YT channel for my community called Strike Posture Set (CAS only), I intend to post a serie of tutorial videos regarding CAS. Disclaimer, I share those to the public but they're primarily intended to replace briefings for my members so we move to practice quicker! If you want practice come over the Discord (check my signature), I accept EVERYBODY. For now it's just theory but I do have some (old) CAS practice that was recorded with the CVW66. I know those briefings are kind of boring and longish but they are important to get the acronyms and basic understandings across, as I move forward I hope to get better at making videos and implement more examples within it. The videos will become shorter as we get to more specific stuff. Let me hear your feedback and tell me what would you be interest in as when I'll be done with all this theory I can focus on smaller things!! Fly safe! See ya!!
  8. Bumping, we changed name and now have tutorial videos for CAS!

    Mirage smoke pods

Erm, looks like they didn't in 8165.2?

    Mirror?

I ask the same thing, the low res mirror is just ugly, no mirror is so much better
  11. I'm still looking for squadron leaders interested in the concept, don't hesitate to stop by!!
  12. I was not really talking about tanks in my first post, I'm a field artillery guy, the cavalry operates differently than us, they go fast and never stop. It's hard to keep up with them!
  13. +1 don't know if it's a bad thing hehe

    JTAC

hmm nah JTAC is solely used in MP, it would be awkward in SP since the AI can't communicate properly with you. You are not be able to use pointing device for example and the whole point of the job is to deconflict your assets, provide talk on... On the other side, you have many human pilots willing to play CAS, check my sig, it may interest you!
  15. Hi! You had enough of the stupid JTAC AI? You want proper Close Air Support missions in either JTAC or pilot FAC(A) role? Me too!! That's why I created the STRIKE POSTURE SET. My goal : Create a "JTAC hub" where we train and then get tasked by DCS pilots that are CAS certified (A/C proficiency required) for temporary missions, I patented this concept the JTAC ice-cream truck© . It's a two way partnership, we request pilots but they can also request JTAC's. The concept is pretty new and obviously need to be partnered with current DCS communities, it's already the case in fact. I can provide training to IP's who then spread the word in their own communities, more knowledge means more pilots to do CAS with!! I intend this place to become the "rally point" for JTAC's/pilots to exchange about CAS beyond squadron boundaries!! No guild wars, CAS unites us! To join us: *You are already part of a squadron or not at all *You are mature, 18+ required. *You are fluent in english / have a mic *You own CA if you want to be JTAC trained (lasing, IR...) *You show interest in Air to Ground and are willing to be dedicated to others *You have a proper setup (trackir, joystick...) *If you want to become FAC(A) capable, be aircraft capable FIRST! Join the Discord server : https://discord.gg/9s5WydsBHH Use the "applications" channel to introduce yourself and you'll be granted a role for trial! Thank you for stopping by! See you soon and fly safe!! Madone
  16. Since TARGET totally mess up my HOTAS, I have to edit the default.lua, which totally sucks.
  17. @LeCuvieryeah thanks for pulling the code, I was lazy to find the lines out. hehe
  18. As of 27th January, I retested with a friend and I confirm the emer trim nose up/down is inverted when CLICKED. It indeed works perfectly fine with the keybinds, so I guess the lua file is messed up for the clickable data?
  19. Really appreciate what you do for the CA players! I wish I had the skills and time to make missions myself, I only have the scenarios...
  20. Hi, I reported this a while back but someone said it worked fine for him which is super weird. Here's the thread : I'm OB and I can confirm it still being an issue for the A10CII but it worked fine for me in the A10 old gen.
  21. I'm very glad to see a developer interested in ground vehicles, I'm a huge CA user as I go for JTAC 75% of the time in DCS. From what I understand, you want to populate the sim with more units and that's awesome for our scenarios, now this obviously has to be priced accordingly and you know that, otherwise people will stick to vanilla content. As for doing a proper detailed tank sim, I wouldn't buy it, I think it would not be correlated enough with what the pilots need, let me explain; I think there's an unhealthy amount of DCS pilots (especially in A10) doing Air to Ground missions without ever talking to a proper JTAC integrating them into a ground maneuver and instead they go for a killboxes, destroying every single unit they get to see. I've even seen unannounced pilots teamkilling an infantry platoon I was controlling without feeling any contrition. When the server allows (usually hardcore squadrons) I hop into a vehicle and control 3 to 4 platoons, simulating what @dimitriovexplained above and make a dynamic/realistic battlefield for the guys flying and they freaking love it! The problem being the opfor which would require someone like me or a smart AI doing the same thing for me to find it fun but I've yet to experience that. CA players are a rare breed right now because the module is almost completely sidelined and not attractive by any means (lacking features), I'm in few different communities and you get a handful of ATC/JTAC but hundreds of pilots. IMO, the most interesting thing to do on the ground is CAS (I'm obviously biased) and not just tank driving, you have to be AT LEAST a platoon leader or company commander with the option of being in a vehicle. Then there are GCI/ATC/JTAC which are highly complex positions to run properly, however they'd be ways to help players get into it with hints or even proper training missions, it's as hard as flying aircrafts but CA doesn't tell you that. TLDR: I want more flexible ground units and a proper JTAC module
  22. Hey welcome in the community! Greetings from France
  23. I can vouch for Open Mod Manager, it's very good, doesn't take long to load hefty profiles, and as MAXsenna mentioned, it's still supported by the dev.
  24. Well thanks now I can't unsee that! lol Hope this gets fixed.
