Hi,

i found some weird issue sometimes i save a mission after insert some new sounds using the trigger action menue (e.g. sound to all => open sound file).

Like the Thread told, some sounds are gone (which i put in the mission before) after i saved it.

This happens not always and it also not concerns only to sounds i wanted to implement as new ones. It also relates to sounds that were previously implemented in a mission if i want to put some more sounds in, or change some in ME, or saving it as a new mission file.

Now I have to check everytime the mission file for missing sound files and have to put them manually inside the *.miz .

After i put them into, the mission runs as it should, but i dont think its normal i have to check them everytime before i want to run a mission, whether the sound are all inside, or?

I only use the user manual recommended *.wav and/or *.ogg formats and the biggest had just 150 kb.

Someone else had already the same experience?

cheers

I've had this issue with attached files of any kind. I'm not entirely sure what the cause is as I've tried numerous attempts to replicate the issue. The only possible cause I can think of is if you add/change more than 1 file at the same time, there is a random chance the file doesn't correctly update. I've gotten into the habit of either directly dropping the new file into the miz file or updating each file one at a time, after which I hit save each time. I'll try to pin down the specific cause again.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Yep, possible...

...i tried to save a mission everytime under a new name/number, maybe it does not save all files within the new one. Just to overwrite its maybe better, but normally it should doesn't care.

This is not always 100% reproduce-able for me, but sometimes if I clone a trigger that has a sound file, this problem happens.

Easy way for me to deal with it is to just open the .miz file with your zip program and look for the files with 0 bytes. It still records the file in the mission, but has no value in size. Those are the ones you know you have to re-add.

When I come across this problem again, I will be sure to try and note the cause.
