splash Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Hi, Please look at the image below. In the Su-25T default cockpit view, the angle is very close. This happens since I changed my CRT monitor to a TFT 23-inches (1920x1080). I tried Zoom Out to the maximum but the angle is still very close and I cannot see lateral panels. This it's not happening in DCS World. Is there any solution? Other planes does not have this problem (F-15, A-10, etc.). Thanks in advance.
YeaImRota Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Horrible, isn't it? Now I'm not sure about Flaming Cliffs 2 (I haven't had it installed since FC3), but there should be a view.lua file you can edit to zoom out to the proper level to actually be able to see the inside of the cockpit. I changed the following line: CameraViewAngleLimits[su_25T] = {60.0, 140.0} and the default zoom now looks much better on my 1920x1080 monitor. The original minimum limit was 20 degrees, and I upped it for 60 for all of the Flaming Cliffs jets. My reason for doing this was that I can't use the Z-axis of my TrackIR and be able to adjust zoom levels in the Flaming Cliffs jets, so this was a good compromise without having to disable 6DOF functionality. http://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit Hoggit 1st Fighter Wing Weekly training missions on Tuesday nights, missions on Saturdays! splash Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Hi, thanks for your quick support, but for some reason cockpit angles for Su-25T should be hard-coded in Flaming Cliffs 2 as I couldn't change the angle limits. I compared "View.lua" and "SnapViews.lua" with the ones in DCS World and they're quite similar, so the abovementioned explanation is the most plausible. I did not have any problem when changing default cockpit angle or angle limits for the rest of the aircrafts. Regards.
