Hi all, I’m new to this forum and to DCS so I’m not sure if this is the place, but I thought I’d ask. Can DCS show a full 360 degree field if enough monitors were connected? I’d like to be able to see behind without changing my POV within the sim. In other words, if I had a slave computer connected with three other monitors showing me rear, rear left, and rear right, could the main computer export via LUA enough data that the slave computer could show what’s behind me? Has this been done before? TIA for any help with this concept. Scottie

As far as I know, it is not possible. For 360 deg you would need at least 6 view channels. This implies, that the 3D space has to be rendered 6 times. This drags the frame rate down to zero . I do not know if there are more key words beside Left, Center and Right in the MonitorSetup to test this out. There would be a possibility to use more than one computer in a multiplayer environment. You would need a software that switches the slave computer to spectator view and controls the camera view direction correlated with the host computer. Even then you would not have so much fun. The latency over the network would cause the slave computer to react some milliseconds later. The result in the view is, that you feel like a drunk pilot after a short time. But may be that someone else has an idea how to do this.

It is possible and you only need to search through existing forum posts for multi monitors... Search is your friend

Thanks Kuky, I have searched and found several posts; however, I didn't see any concerning more than three screens from a front view. Can you point me to any that speek about rear view monitors and how to setup the LUA files? Thanks again.
