BS2 standalone and DCS World BS2

I have standalone version of BS2, activated and working.

Installed DCS World and BS2 module (full version, not upgrade)

..but after launching BS2 in DCSW there is activation window opened which shows "wrong activation key" in the next step.

 

Having BS2 standalone and DCSW BS2 installed at the same time is not allowed?

Do I need deactivate BS2 in order to sucesfully activate DCSW?

Well, basically, before the auto-updater(since 1.2.1), every version needed a new registration.

I have 1.2.2, 1.2.1 with the same activation.

When installed 1.2.0 yesterday, it asked me to register again.

Tomorrow, i will reinstall v 1.1.1.1 and re-activate it. If no one answered you, i will tell you how it worked here.

One thing, i didn't saw "Wrong activation key" with 1.2.0. It just asked to reactivate. (didn't accepted, because you can easily loose 1 activation with old version of DCS if it mess the registry or something)

 

No, I don't think you're limited to 1 version by Computer.

Confirming it's working here. 1.1.1.1 + 1.2.2, with 2 activations.

Ok. Succeed. Like you said - It is possible to have different versions but it requires each version to be activated.

 

I had a "wrong activation key" message as there was sth wrong with my Windows registry.

It probably was result of a few installation and running attempts (with different versions of installation files).

After deleting registry keys (according http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Troubleshooting:starforce:5.x#Something_strange_with_your_serial_number_or_activation_problems.3F) and activation both versions (BS2 1.1.1.1 and DCSW 1.2.2) work.

I've lost 1 activation during these experiments but it works at least now.

Lukasdan, like almost everyone (me included), you've lost 1 activation. So don't worry about this, BUT :

Now, you have 2 active keys on your computer. If you decide to reformat your HD, or reinstall Windows3.1(err, 8 sorry :-p) NEVER FORGET TO DE-ACTIVATE before playing with M$ installs.

To deactivate, just go to Programfiles/EagleD/DCSW/Mods/Aircraft/KA50/Ka-50_Protect.exe and click the tiny link "deactivate"

If you fail to to this, you will loose 2 activations. and never get them back.

That is incorrect. AFTER you have burned your last activation, you will automatically be granted another activation after 30 days.

Yes Bigfoot, but this case applies only if you have no activation left. Having only one activation possibility can be problematic if you have multiples computers. Right now i have 4 actives liscences for BS2 and 1 lost.
