I have been asked by cowboy10uk to design a bit of kit for his pit.

so please find attached the files need to get this to work

there is a description, circuit, a youtube video of it working.

the display system runs on atmega8 under c

the server is Linux mint14 running python 2.7 with pyserial

this is how it works in general.

export.lua via network to server

server extracts the information and sends commands to the display board

display board updates it's database and turns on/off the led's

enjoy

Just got the first servo on Wednesday and have now finished the code for servo controls.

one serial port controls 1600 leds and 600 servos not that i can see any one using that many

each atmega8 controls 12 servos or 27 leds

will post the circuit's and code over the weekend m8.
