Tempest Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Repost from Ka-50 string Always bothered me in BS2 that the pilot was in a mint green flight suit in the ejection sequence. I modded his uniform to be camouflaged (I'm using the Russian_Pilot_3TsV_1990_Camouflage) when the pilot is sitting in the cockpit as seen from the exterior. http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/1302-russian-pilot-uniform-3tsv-1990/ (Of course in BS2 you don't see the pilot when you are in the cockpit due to shading improvements.) I'm not a uniform modder but I whipped a somewhat close approximation that is acceptable (at least to me) of a Russian camouflage flightsuit for ejection sequence. If you can do better have at it and I'll be the first to download any improvement. You think people will want this -or is it too crude? It's just a generic camouflage for ejection sequence AND it even works with the SU-25T ejection sequence in DCS Screenshots at this Ka-50 forum string http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1667874&posted=1#post1667874
Ebs Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Yes! Nice one tempest!...btw you know SHIFT+P shows the pilot in BS2 right? Any chance of a recolor for the default camo? I was thinking about doing this recently, but yours is ace. :) Check out my guide to JSGME for DCS World.
Tempest Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 Hi Ebs: No Shift + P doesn't work for me in BS2. I think I read somewhere this feature was disabled due to shading features present in the BS2 cockpit. Unless there is some lua file I can edit-the pilot doesn't show up. Only in external views with the camoflage - sitting in the cockpit. I tried to use the camo pattern in the mod-and I'm sure it can be done with a close approximation. I'm just not all that good with uniform mods. . Hmmm let me try Photoshop tonight with layers. Did pretty good with putting dust on COMBAT MISSION: NORMANDY vehicles using layers-might be the same principle. Not promising anything.

I just tested showing the pilot model in the most recent version of BS2 and it works just fine. It also works in the P-51. http://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit Hoggit 1st Fighter Wing Weekly training missions on Tuesday nights, missions on Saturdays! TS3: hoggit.us
Tempest Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 After doing a search again indeed it is possible if you do a lua edit to make the pilot visible. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54867&highlight=visible+pilot But I'm using the RSHIFT + P after the lua edit but nothing shows up. :cry_2:
Tempest Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 New (from FC2) ejection model being proposed for BS2. I used it and it worked. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.ph...=1#post1667874
