WH, Trackir 4 and alternative view system?

I am re-posting this thread as I had posted on another forum thread but this thread appears to be the correct one.

 

I have a TM Warthog, Trackir 4 (running ver 5) and have modified the trim button to use the trim button without the need to use the LCTRL button.

 

The problem that I have is that with Trackir, many of the panels, especially the side panels are hard to clearly see when learning to start the jet, etc.

 

The question that I have is how do you get something like the trim button or the mouse to look left, right, up down, etc? I have tried LCtrl trim buttons, but with the Trackir, nothing happens. Does the trackir override other view commands?
