Hello,

I am looking for help with getting a servo setup in Helios. I am using a Phidgets 8 Motor servo controller and now have it responding to BS2W.

I was able to prevent the profile corruption I was experiencing by running Helios as Admin. This allowed me to save a profile with the servo controller added. I was then able to connect a binding for the APU temp gauge to my cockpit.

My gauge works in reverse, with full hot being full cold, and it is either full on or off. I am guessing I need a lua line to make the output usable to the gauge, but it does respond to BS2 when I run the APU.

most likely a question for Gadroc or anyone who has done this before.

OK.

I've managed to get my servo to calibrate in Helios using the "Input Calibration" tab. The first two tabs save data, but the third "Servo Type" tab does not.

My gauge currently zero's at "-6000" and tops out at "6000"

If I enter "0", she is almost halfway through the travel.

I need a lua properties line for my binding that returns data in the range above from a Trigger value.

Getting close!

A bit more info on my bindings...

Servo 0 bindings are:

Set Input Value - this is blank for now

Set Target Position - this is set to Trigger value when APU temperature changes. Trigger value is "Celsius degrees 0-900", Action value is "Numeric".

There is a red Action Warning flag for this binding.

My APU temp gauge reacts in DCS, but it is full on or full off and reversed.

I tried dragging the APU temp change binding onto the Set Input Value binding and see the following changes (with a red warning flag):

The gauges goes to approximately halfway and seemingly reacts to temp changes a small bit as it gets hotter or cooler.

There is a know. Big in Helios servo support as it doesn't properly remember your servo type on profile load. Unfortunately I did not get a new release done before leaving for a business trip. I'm currently about 8000 miles away from my dev/build machine and won't be able to generate a new release till March 12th.
