Quick Mission JTAC

It seems every quick mission I fly the JTAC never has tasking for me. At first I thought the AI was killing everything before I could get airborne from the ramp, but even when I start on the runway I have no targets when I get to the front.

 

Is this a bug or do I have to set things up differently?

Its unfortunately been like this forever.

 

If while flying a mission you keep pressing F7 to look at all the Ground vehicles until you find the JTAC which is normally a Humvee, He is invariably parked in the middle of a forest or right behind a building and can't see the enemy. The Quick Mission builder is just not intelligent enough to position him properly.

 

You can do this yourself using the Edit Mission option, just drag the two Humvee's closer to the enemy and on the side of a high hill.
