Uninstalled and reinstalled. No HOTAS or Joystick, just DCS World and CA only.

Removed all prev files (except missions in SavedGames folder).

Now missions do not even load -- CTD at 96%

I will do another install, and remove the C++ 2010 installation and start over there.

I cannot imagine the drivers aren't good, hell it just worked fine on version 1.2.2

EDIT: Checked the Install DirectX option this time.

Installed new drivers (NVIDIA) and then realized I needed to adjust my screen resolution. I was able to load and fly one mission for the 25T.

Quit game, thinking I'd found a solution, and installed CA. Now I have the same problem again. Loads about 96%

I"m having the same problem. After I select a mission the mission begins and ends almost simultaneously and I am left looking at the post-mission report without ever reaching an in-flight screen. I had DCS, A10C, FC3, Ka-50, and of course Su25T, all 1.2.3 versions.

They moved your post to the bugs section because its obviously a bug of some kind.

I honestly can't think of the possible cause. The GUI errors are likely because the debrief module expected the mission to have been played, so I don't think that is related to the cause. You can try this to manually uninstall individual modules: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1601231&postcount=5

You could try installing the core sim but with no modules. See if it runs, and possibly try running it multiple times to verify it is in fact working. Then install each module 1 at a time and testing running the game each time you install a new module.

There could also be a possibility that the new install files you downloaded were corrupted.

Weird idea, if you still have a 1.2.2 installer. Install that and see if it updates correctly.

It should be noted that originally I did use the auto-updater and let it run, and it worked without a hitch. Immediately I had this problem. Since uninstalling, of course, I had to use the install files from the download section of the DCS site.

I had one flight in the 25T last night, and exited that one normally. That was having ONLY DCS World installed. Thinking that my problems were resolved, I installed CA and here I am again.

Could it be that having Combined Arms installed BEFORE the others is giving me issues? Should not be the case, that is how the download site instructs.

EDIT: OK looking at the download page instructions it appears that it uses CA as an example as a module, maybe chosen at random, to illustrate how one of (any of) the modules is supposed to be installed after DCS World is installed. So just on a whim I will try installing just DCS World again, to see what happens. Then I'll go next to DCS A-10C, which is what I originally started with, and then onto the others (cannot remember the order, but BS2 was last for me) and check those modules one at a time.

I've been fighting the same problem for a month now. I've uninstalled DCS, then reinstalled but still get the same problem as you describe.......if I press "fly again" (sometimes three or four times) the mission will usually work.

Very frustration !

If you find a fix, please advise

Reinstalled DCS World only, tested flight. Same result. Will not load. Tries to load, but only reaches 96%.

See ME.TXT log file below.

We need dcs.log, me.log is just the log file generated for the single player GUI. Are you having this problem in multiplayer too? If so, then it's not likely that me.log will contain any useful info at all. It still might though, so include it anyway. And if it CTDs, please give us the crash file, if one was generated.

Please attach, not post, dcs.log + me.log + crash file. debrief.log not necessary.

Also,

1) System specs?

2) Are you running DCS as administrator?

3) Have you tried renaming your Saved Games/DCS folder?

Oh yea, if renaming your Saved Games/DCS folder fixes the problem, THEN SAVE A COPY FOR ME TO LOOK AT. Thanks :)

I saw your reference to the temperal missionfile being logged with a space between tempMission and .miz, in my logs the reference is without a space.

Your file:

\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\tempMission .miz

My file:

\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\tempMission.miz

Did the space occur when you copy n paste it to the forum or is it originaly in the me.log file?

There is a forum software bug that randomly inserts spaces into posted text. Yet another reason to upload the files as well, not just post their contents.

If you want to post text without this bug possibly affecting it- that's what

AFAIK I am running DCSW as administrator. At least I have it check when I right click on the desktop icon, under properties.

OK I have NOT tried renaming my Saved Games/DCS folder

Just name it anything?

EDIT: THIS WORKED!!!

Saved Games/DCS is now renamed to Saved Games/DCSW

That was the only change I made.

Had to go back in the rest my options, resolutions, frame rate, etc, but I was able to load not one but 3 separate Su-25T missions. No issues.

I will never understand what in the hell is going here with that, Speed, but I am certainly grateful. Thanks. War Eagle

Now moving on to install other modules. Will test and report

This is same problem I had originally.

I'm at work and so can't presently attach any files from the program, but one thing I noticed last night might help clarify at least part of what's happening.

After I select a mission and the loading bar at the bottom of the page starts to move from left to right, it moves way too fast (it goes from 0 to 100 percent in two or three seconds) and only shows percentages rather than the usual list of categories of things being loaded.

In other words, even though after the mission part of the program closes I get post-mission reports which cover a half-second or so of activities, it seems obvious that the bulk of the gameplay part of the program is never actually loading in the first place.

I hope that helps clarify at least part of what's going on.

Is the game being run as administator and such? The fact that renaming the settingsfolder makes a change in situation is alot more than braindead. It almost sounds like something else on your machine denies access without mentioning it to you.

A step further is check settings in your bios and let your cpu and memory run wihtout all those nifty extra options. Check clockspeeds too, is it all setup to specs? Default doesn't always mean it's the right setting. Personaly i always have to set my memory to 1600 Mhz manualy for instance.

I noticed the same thing today.
