Thank you for reading this. I bought AC-10 warthog about a year and a half ago and still have the key. Where can I go to re-download it? Will it give me the "C" upgrade or do I have to buy the "C" version separately?

My next question is the Lock On flaming Hills 3 worth getting? I see that you have to install first the LO earlier version. The only ones I can find is the gold edition, platinum edition and FH 2 which looks like it is an add on. Can someone tell me which editions work please.

Last question is P-51 any good and is it worth getting? I love high graphics and I am running 2 GTX-580's. Can't wait to play which ever.

Oh yea the land vehicle is that worth getting. I love carriers landings and take off (never landed one yet in all the games I have played) which one should I buy for carrier operations?

By the way I am running 64 bit Win 8. Can I install the old Lock On with Win 8?

I sincerely appreciate any feedback from the experts. I am deeply thankful for any help.

Thank you again

If you have bought DCS: A-10C Warthog either from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ or Steam and you have your product key all you have to do now is to download and install:

DCS World

after that you will need to download and install A-10C module:

DCS A-10C Warthog

During first launch you will be asked to enter your serial number for A-10C.

As for your other questions- IMHO all of DCS products are worth getting :) If you want to taste some air to air combat get Flaming Cliffs 3 or P-51D. Combined arms are great for MP play (but you can still get some fun out of it in SP missions!). Ah and let's not forget DCS Black Shark :D

The key you have is already for the C version, since that is the only module that exists. (The A version only exists as one of the planes in Flaming Cliffs.)

The change that has happened is not in which version of the aircraft that is modeled, rather that what used to be a "separate" and "stand-alone" game called DCS A-10C Warthog is now a "module" that plugs into the DCS World application. However, your old serial number is indeed valid for the "module" so there is no need to purchase it again.

Corvus' directions on download are correct.

Any Lockon version should work. Lock On Gold is basically Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 1, on separate discs. In this case, all you would need is the first disc containing Lock On.

FC2 is also "enough", but since FC2 contains the same requirement - if you don't already have it installed, might as well just get Lock On itself.

Old LOMAC shall indeed install without a problem on Windows 8.

However, in the case of Lock On Gold: there might be problems with activation if you install FC1 (the second disc), but since this is not required and I would assume you are only installing that in order to pass the checks made by the FC3 module installer, this should be no problem. In this case you can simply ignore the FC1 disc.

And obviously all the modules are worth getting... :D
