ImGeronimo Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Hi, so i'm trying to learn how to drop CBUs', and i've learn the 97 so far but the 105 is giving me some issues. Basically, i am replicating the ways of many youtube videos, they all do it the same way and so am i, but everytime i release my bomb the DSMS is showing FAIL, and 2 red boxes over both of my MFCD's. I have put the target as SPI with TMS forward short and ASL with TMS forward long, and it is locking properly aswell, but still a fail. I am also waiting for the 2 triangles to go vertical on the ASL and for the manual release text to pop up, but still an error. Anyone have any idea what i'm doing wrong?
ENO Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 If you release the trigger too quickly it'll typically result in a FAIL. Are you holding it down for about 2 seconds (similar to the way you would the 31 / 38 systems? It takes a couple seconds for the data to load into the weapon- and if you release the pickle before that happens I think it causes the fault. I had a feeling it was something ridicolously tiny as that, thanks a lot :D Superquick response time aswell, nice one!

I've taught a friend the basics of DCS A-10C, and this is precisely the thing he had the most difficulty understanding (after learning the sim ropes in WWII aircraft). After numerous botched pickles, the way I found to explain it most effectively was: "Unless you're in full-manual mode, pressing that big red button merely indicates to the aircraft that you consent to release to munition. As long as you're still in consent, the aircraft will automagically choose the best moment to do so." UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com
