mr_mojo97 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 As above. I have Trackir 4 with pro clip (held together with a pipe cleaner!) but will I see any difference by upgrading to Trackir 5? Cali Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 If you can get the 5, buy it. I've had the 2, 4 and 5 and I noticed a difference between the 4 and 5. Here is a comparison of the 4 and 5 http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/02-products/trackir-product-comparison.html i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
mr_mojo97 Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 Yeah I'd already had a look at that but they're really just numbers. What did you find better about them over 4 and was the investment worth it? CrazyFlyCat Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Yeah I'd already had a look at that but they're really just numbers. What did you find better about them over 4 and was the investment worth it? At The difference is the distance between your head and the TrackIR receiver. Because the resolution of TIR5 is much bigger than TIR4, so when the distance is long enough, TIR5 can working more smooth than TIR4. If you only sit by your desk, TIR4 is good to go.
Rolibi555 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I was juist wondering the Same. I found a TrackIr 4 second hand for a nice price. If the distance is the only pro on the TrackIr 5, I'll go for the 4. So all the head moving is the same ?
