acino Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I recently started hosting a server, I use both Slmod and InSeMa. The problem I am having is the following: When I host a mission, everything is fine. People are entering and leaving, but as soon as only I (as a host) remain on the server, the game pauses and reloads a (random?) mission. It's very annoying. Anyone knows how to remedy this? Thank you!
Macross Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 SLmod and other server tools are not designed to be used on your game instance of DCS.exe. Rather they are designed to be used on a "Dedicated" machine that is running another install of the game. So you would need to have the game installed on a seperate machine that is the "Host" and then you would join from your gaming machine to play, as well as everyone else. Hope that makes sense... but SLMod is working as intended when only one player "The Host" is left in the mission... server pauses or executes a restart or map rotation based on your settings. SLMod should not be installed on your gaming machine. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Grimes Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 It depends on your settings, but you can certainly have slmod setup so the "host can play". I think some of your issue is probably caused by InSeMa as that is what rotates missions automatically. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
