Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 With one PC with an X800Pro With another X850XT PE these take place when an explosion or impact happens
Greco Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Thomas: What ATI driver are you using? Maybe the bug is driver specific. I have an x800xt (PCI-e) with the CAT 5.11 and I don't see any graphics bugs during explosions. Cheers, Greco
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 5.11 is the one I use, but I had these problems since 5.07. These two machines share only the same XP Home, they have different CPU, MoBo, memory and GPU - yet have the same problems. Usually when that glitch happens, Lock On freezes for a second or two.
Greco Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 I'll keep an eye open for this bug. But, so far, I haven't noticed it nor any second-or-two freezes.
ViperVJG73 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I have not seen this! Is yours GPU core temp too high? ATI X1800XT 512MB Cat. 5.12 no problems! ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 It happens usually late in a mission - when the GPU is running hot, but only when an explosion takes place.
ViperVJG73 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 It happens usually late in a mission - when the GPU is running hot, but only when an explosion takes place. Your should open your case and check the temperature with Riva Tuner! Open case and you have light lower temperatures. ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
Guest Cali Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 It happens usually late in a mission - when the GPU is running hot, but only when an explosion takes place. At what temp is your card at when this happens?
Mytos Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I had a similar problem lately. I checked the gpu fan and had to clean it. Problems now gone. Greetings, Ulrich aka Mytos Lock On Flaming Cliffs Encyclopedia at
Jester_159th Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 This might not be purely ATI related. We have had a post on the forums on our squad's site with somewhat similar symptoms symptoms from an Nvidia card. Nowhere near as dramatic as Thomas's example but have a look and see what you think. http://159thgdsavnregt.forumsplace.com/message212.html
