JG14_Smil Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Hello, I know 75% of Ka-50 pilots don't even know what this is, let alone use or understand it, but I have found how to keep the Collective brake/Altitude reset working in sync a bit better than it was for me in the past. I've tried both hold and keyhit functions for the button activated by the brake lever, finally settling on a keyhit F "on" and a keyhit "off" after not having much luck with a hold function. I then noticed I had to always tap the lever once more to get the Altitude Hold to reset. I simply added one more keyhit to the release of my lever and my altitude resets much more consistently than before. Example: Lever on {keyhit(F)}, hold until new altitude is reached, Lever off {keyhit(F), keyhit(F)} I added a short delay between my keyhits just in case and it seems to stay in sync very well with the sim. While this post is meant for cockpit builders, using the altitude reset is very important to flying the Ka-50 properly and should be used by all. 1
